New years eve weddings aren’t something most people consider when planning a wedding. But after photographing Christy and Tim’s wedding I thought to myself…”Why on earth doesn’t everyone do this?"
Here’s why:
I don’t know about you, but I NEVER know what to do for NYE. I always want to be with all of my friends who are all dressed up. I have visions of us drinking champagne and dancing the night away to great music. However, that almost never happens because no one ever commits to doing it, or it’s too expensive, or everything is already booked. My expectations are always let down and I feel like I have failed myself on a great NYE.
With a NYE wedding all of those variables are taken care of!!! seriously!!
You’re with all of your friends who HAVE to RSVP, You have an excuse to rent that gorgeous dress you’ve been eyeing up from rent the runway, there’s an open bar with plenty of champagne, and there’s a DJ to get you wiggling on the dance floor! It’s really a win for everyone!
Christy and Tim were the smart cookies who really planned the best night for all of their friends a family they even had a confetti cannon for a special midnight surprise! It was the best way to ring in 2018!
